DIY FLOWER CROWN

Flower Child
With spring and summer around the corner, I wanted to share a fun DIY. Super easy and affordable.
Flower crowns are making a breakthrough, from music festivals to street style. Coachella is covered with flower crowns. They are a fun way to add colour to an outfit and the perfect accessory.

Supplies you will need:
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Elastic Headbands
  • Flowers of your choice

Keep in mind: You can use any flowers that you would like, I picked a bunch up from the dollar store to keep this DIY affordable for everyone. I suggest getting a few branches of the same flower for each headband. Feel free to be creative in your design by using any flowers you find.

Step One: Separate the flowers from the branches. This is super easy, if you pull the flower off from the stem it should have no problem coming off.

Step Two: Once the flowers are separated, you will want to cut off the bottom tab off each flower. This will leave a flat base on the bottom of each flower.

Step Three: Once all the flowers have a flat base, you a ready to begin gluing. Using the hot glue gun, glue the bottom of the flower and press it on the outside of your headband. Keep doing this method throughout your headband.

It should begin to look like this!

Once you have finished glueing all your flowers around the headband let it sit for a few minutes before trying it on.

This is the end result of my flower crown, super easy and affordable. If you notice, once you have put it on that there are empty spaces in between your flowers, glue some more  on to your headband to fill any gaps. The headband will stretch so try and glue your flowers as close together as possible.

I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and share it with your friends! Flower crowns are a perfect accessory for this upcoming spring and summer so have fun with your designs and be creative! xo
